Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA)

 

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Medical Review Board (MRB) was established under the auspices of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) of 1972, Public Law 92-463, http://www.gsa.gov/faca. Per FACA requirements, the charter of the MRB was approved by the Secretary of Transportation and filed with the General Services Administration's Committee Secretariat, the appropriate Congressional committees, and the Library of Congress.

The Designated Federal Officer (DFO) for this advisory committee and its subcommittees is the FMCSA Associate Administrator, Policy and Program Development, or his or her designee. The Committee sponsor is the Director, Office and Bus and Truck Standards and Operations, or his or her designee.

FMCSA's Office of Bus and Truck Standards and Operations will furnish support for the operation of the MRB. The DFO has designated Madeline Boyd as the facilitator of the MRB.
